About this site

"There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it."  — Edith Wharton

There are so many people who are doing so much to make things better in our country and our world.

You can make things better too.

I'm building this site to highlight the things I want to share with my friends about all the good things people are doing - and some of the things we can do to make things better for ourselves, our families and friends, and our neighbors.

On every block in every town, people are taking time to protect their parks, support their schools, and build their communities in thousands of ways.

You can help. Light a candle. Spread the light.

  • I'm ready to start making calls NOW.
  • I'm doing what I can but I could really use some encouraging news.
  • I just want to know what this site is.

Action is the antidote to fear and despair.

Right now is a great time to take action.
